Fusion Academy in Walnut Creek, California, became Fusion’s tenth campus nationally in 2012. Fusion Walnut Creek is a one-to-one private school with one pupil and one teacher per classroom.
Teachers and mentors should tailor teaching and pacing to the skills, preferences, and learning styles of their students. Students may enroll full-time or part-time for middle and high school, with credit courses, tutoring and mentoring, post-secondary therapy, and more.
Fusion provides rolling registration and customized scheduling, allowing students to begin courses at any point during the year and at a time that is convenient for them.
The campus is available for in-person teaching that adheres to COVID-19 protection standards, as well as immersive and blended learning.
They recognize that life after high school can be difficult and complicated, and their mission is to help students plan for success by providing them with the social-emotional skills they’ll need.
Beyond academics, students will face a variety of challenges that they must be prepared to handle. Their Wellness Program provides a more balanced educational environment for their students by delivering holistic experiences for social, mental, and personal growth.
Fusion requires all graduating students to complete a semester in Wellness in addition to state graduation requirements. The Wellness Class, like all of Fusion’s programs, is fully tailored to each student.
Fusion Academy’s mission is to launch people who are capable of living authentic lives and leaving their mark on the planet. Strong test results and matriculation to college or job may be signs of progress, but they are not the only or even key measures of success.
They use a variety of achievement indicators to gain a comprehensive understanding of each pupil, from academic performance to well-being and life satisfaction.
Students at Fusion follow a variety of objectives, with many going on to a four-year college or university. The Life Skills course assists these students in preparing for their next challenge.
The instructor can assist the student with SAT/ACT preparation, recognizing prospective colleges, the application process and essay writing, and the further development of critical academic skills and study habits, depending on the particular student.
Everyone follows their own course, which does not always lead to college. For students who have other plans, the Life Skills course is tailored to help them achieve their next objective – whatever the objective might be.
Teachers also assist students with goal-setting and career planning, resume preparation, and the improvement of interpersonal skills.
