Futures Academy’s Walnut Creek campus students and staff take immense pride in being a friendly and warm environment for everyone. You’ll find students from all over the Bay Area who bring a wide range of backgrounds to our campus and help to make it a vibrant learning environment.
In an academic setting that differs from the conventional big classroom, their students collaborate and encourage one another.
Their students achieve achievement by working one-on-one with their teachers, which instills trust and inspiration. Flexible scheduling helps students to spend less time in the classroom and attend lectures at moments when they perform most.
This allows them to do their schoolwork without having to stay up late. Students will flourish academically and socially thanks to strong academics and supportive programs.
For a number of factors, the big classroom paradigm does not suit how many students learn better.
Some students learn more quickly than others, some tend to ask more questions or prefer a quieter classroom, some learn more in a more friendly social setting, and some prefer to learn on alternative, flexible schedules. Futures Academy was established to serve all of these students.
They’ve reimagined school as a place where students collaborate one-on-one with teachers as well as in small classes to figure out how they learn better and succeed academically.
For group study and social events, students interact through their micro-community. Since every student is recognized and knows others, most people find it easier to make friends here.
Futures does not seem to be a conventional school, and neither does it teach in that manner. They’ve reimagined school.
Their teachers assist students in determining how they learn better and customize instruction to each person. Their teachers plan the classroom for the pupil and integrate the student’s interests and talents into the curriculum in their one-to-one teaching style.
Students who have never ‘got math’ before instantly do so in this style. They learn from their teachers’ undivided attention and support.
Their strengths-based approach assists students in discovering their life’s passions so that they can choose a college and career path that matches their desires, talents, and mission.
They welcome you to come see our campus and hear about the special educational atmosphere in which their students learn, develop, and succeed. Their campus is next to Concord, Oakland, Pleasant Hill, Orinda, and Berkeley, and is located in Contra Costa County.
