A cool, recently redone play structure and a half-court basketball area are available for children. There are two tennis courts as well, both of which are in good condition but lack illumination for night play. The park is situated in a quiet neighborhood, just behind John Muir Hospital. It’s also close to Shell Ridge Open Space and a good community walking/biking trail.
Per day, from dawn to 9 a.m. (weather permitting), there is a designated off-leash dog area; dogs must be on leash after those hours.
Picnic tables, barbecue pits, a completely fenced playground, two tennis courts, poop bag stations, a basketball court, and a fenced dog play area, as well as a large grass play area, are all available. A tire swing and a play structure for children aged 5 to 12 are available in the children’s playground. If your child enjoys swinging, bear in mind that the tire swing is the only one available. There is a small parking lot as well as some street parking. The walk from the parking lot to the main park area is steep. For those who like to play after dark, the tennis courts do not have lights. In fact, there don’t appear to be any lights in this park, so intend to leave before it gets dark. Overall, a wonderful park and place to spend time with the whole family.
There are just two tennis courts. A bench can be found on each court. Near the gate is a drinking fountain. There is no water pressure. Since San Miguel Park is also a dog park, they need an outside fountain with a bottle filling station and a dog fountain at the base.
Small, quiet park with a few meeting spots and a cozy play area for children. Dogs will run and play in a wide open grassy field.
