Dublin is a small city that lies between the big cities of San Francisco and Oakland. It’s home to many different types of people who commute into this area for work each day, as well as those looking at retirement living here with its picturesque views from rolling hillsides or lakeside communities!
Dublin is close to the major freeways that take you into neighboring cities, as well as transportation to nearby San Francisco and Oakland. It’s also home to many historic sites dating back to the Gold Rush of 1849. The history spans from Native Americans settled in this area or other nearby cities like Pleasanton or Oakland. It also includes the stories from the Gold Rush and tales of those who traveled through this area on their way to settle other communities in Northern California!
The climate here is quite moderate, as it’s a coastal city that isn’t far from mountain ranges. You can expect a lot of fog during the summer months, but this also keeps you shaded during warmer months.
The city of Dublin is blessed with an abundance of fun attractions for residents and visitors to enjoy. Here’s a short list of our favorites:
The Dublin Heritage Park is a free admission outdoor Museum and park located at the old Dublin Township municipal offices (8444 Tecumseh Rd. E.). There are four buildings on site that form part of what was once the township hall, Firehall, and police station. These structures were all added to the registry of historical places in 2002.
Each building includes numerous displays and artifacts and has been restored and refurnished as they would have appeared around the mid-1880s to early 1900s. A lot of work has gone into each building to make sure everything was historically accurate including signage throughout, re-created fire hydrants, signs on doors indicating where equipment could be found such as “Fire Hose By Door” or “Ladies – Please Use Other Door”.
Each structure has been named after a significant person in the history of the area: The Robert Evans Community Centre, James Steele Community Centre, and Dr. David Orchard Community Centre. There is also a replica blacksmith shop and carriage shed which was built in 2010.
The park includes over 1/2 mile (800 meters) of railways track with both narrow gauge and standard gauge tracks as well as numerous static displays such as an old farm tractor, vintage fire engine, and early steam engine to name but a few.
There are picnic tables throughout the park for those wishing to bring their own lunch, concessions that sell various food items as well as washroom facilities. A large portion of the park can be shaded by the various heritage trees that grow throughout.

Brave Church is a church that seeks to avoid the trap of becoming too much like other churches. They believe their true identity and values should match those put forth by Jesus himself, not just because it’s popular or makes sense now but also for future generations who will be following his example as well.
Their vision is simple: be like Jesus to everyone they meet. They want people to see Christ in them and when they do, they believe they will want what they have. Brave Church exists for this reason, that people might come to know Jesus and be changed by His love.

John Knox Presbyterian Church believes that God is the center of their lives. It’s why they choose to follow Jesus, who said “I am With You always.” They also listen closely when He tells them which songs should be played on Sunday mornings – because if it doesn’t originate from His heart then there can’t truly be joy in worshiping Him! That’s why here you will find both traditional hymns beloved by churches across generations as well contemporary tunes led beautifully exclusively by their own Praise Band–a group designed specifically for formative years, middle age, and everything in between. No matter the age of the worshipper, what makes their Praise Band unique is that they keep up with today’s trends so that their songs are always accessible to every generation–a truly inclusive ministry! It’s easy to see where this sense of community comes from – their Presbyterian roots allow them to join together under one roof regularly for worship as well as education classes, events, and outreach programs throughout the year.
